Colorplan Business Cards
Overview: Colorplan Business Cards
Colorplan Duplex Business Cards are designed for brands that want color, thickness, and material quality to become part of their identity.
Crafted using premium GF Smith Colorplan papers, every card is produced as a duplex construction by laminating two 270gsm(or 350gsm) Colorplan sheets together, creating a substantial 540gsm(or 700gsm) business card with exceptional rigidity and presence.
Unlike standard colored business cards, our Colorplan Duplex Business Cards allow you to customize both sides independently.
Choose:
- The same Colorplan color on both sides for a clean, consistent appearance
- Two different Colorplan colors for a striking front-and-back contrast
This unique duplex construction allows the paper itself to become a design element, creating visual impact that cannot be achieved through printing alone.
Colorplan Duplex Business Cards are particularly popular among creative agencies, graphic designers, architects, luxury brands, hospitality businesses, photographers, consultants, and professionals seeking Luxury Business Cards that feel as distinctive as the brands they represent.

How It Works
For customers with a design file:
Upload your vector artwork (AI preferred; high-resolution PDF or 300 dpi PNG acceptable if vectors are preserved). We perform a professional file review and provide a digital proof for approval before production begins.
For customers without a design file (free design included):
No artwork? No problem. Simply provide your logo, contact information, references, or ideas. We will create a professional layout and provide a digital proof before production.
File Preparation
We can accept almost any type of high-quality artwork, but vector graphics with fonts converted to outlines is our absolute favorite way to receive artwork.
This is typically a file made in Adobe Illustrator and saved as AI file format.
Minimum font size is 6.5pt, and minimum line weight is 0.25pt.
Vector files (AI) are required (with outlined fonts)
We primarily accept vector AI files with outlined fonts. For preview purposes, you may also upload a high-resolution PDF (vector preserved) or a 300 dpi PNG. Please ensure all placed elements are embedded.
Quality and Remake
Every order includes a professional artwork review and digital proof approval process.
If an issue falls outside normal production tolerances, we will remake the order or provide an appropriate solution.

Colorplan Business Cards - FAQs
What are Colorplan Business Cards?
Colorplan Business Cards are premium business cards made from GF Smith Colorplan paper, a designer paper collection renowned for its rich colors, tactile surface, and exceptional print quality. Rather than relying on printed backgrounds, the paper itself provides the color, creating a more refined and distinctive finish.
What is a duplex business card?
A duplex business card is created by laminating two separate sheets of paper together, producing a thicker and more rigid card. Our Colorplan Business Cards are available in duplex constructions of 540gsm and 700gsm for an exceptionally premium feel.
Which thickness should I choose: 540gsm or 700gsm?
Our 540gsm duplex construction is generally recommended for embossing, providing crisp raised details while maintaining excellent structural stability. For debossing, we recommend 700gsm, as the additional thickness allows for deeper impressions and more pronounced tactile definition without compromising the overall feel of the card.
Will the colors look exactly like they do on my screen?
Every Colorplan color has been professionally photographed and meticulously color-corrected to achieve a representation that is as close as possible to the actual paper. Although minor differences may occur due to variations in screen settings and display technology, we have dedicated considerable time to ensuring our images reflect the real Colorplan colors with exceptional accuracy. In most cases, the paper you receive will closely match what you see on our website.
What makes Colorplan paper different from regular colored paper?
Colorplan paper is specifically developed for premium print applications. It offers carefully curated colors, consistent quality, and excellent compatibility with luxury finishing techniques such as foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and Pantone printing.

How many Colorplan colors are available?

Which printing methods work best with Colorplan paper?
Colorplan paper performs exceptionally well with foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and Pantone color printing. These techniques enhance the paper's natural texture while maintaining its premium appearance.
Is white ink available on dark Colorplan papers?
White ink availability depends on the specific product configuration and artwork. If your design requires white ink, please contact us before placing your order so we can recommend the most suitable option.
Are Colorplan Business Cards suitable for luxury brands?
